The all new Classic iNSight2 stays true to the unique features the original Classic iNSight became famous for. Yet important improvements have been carried through which makes use of the scanner even more pleasant and easy.
The Classic iNSight2 gives the breeder the possibility to check gestation in his own pig barn at his own time. The unit offers an easy and quick answer to the question whether or not a sow is in gestation.
With the Classic iNSight2 you get an instant look inside the pelvic region of the sow. There are only two controls on the unit; one to switch the unit on/off and one to adjust the brightness of the display. That’s all, the rest is automated. No fancy or extra possibilities that you will pay for and will not use. This unit is specially designed for swine application. Interpretation of the images is easy and can be learned quickly.
Early detection of gestation is important to save time and consequently save money. Since gestation can be detected as early as 19 days post-insemination, re-insemination can be done without losing an extra cycle.

Rough environment
Transducer, display and power supply are integrated into one compact design made out of durable anodized aluminum. This eliminates all issues related to cables and possible breakage. The 2 built-in (rechargeable) penlight batteries offer approximately 2 hours continuous scan-time. Batteries are quickly exchanged when longer scanning times are required. The total unit weighs only 600 grams including the batteries.

Ease of use
One of the requirements for quick and easy detection of gestation is simplicity. The Classic iNSight2 is instant functional on power on and needs no further set-up to start scanning. Display brightness is automatically set to the last time use. Orientation is utterly simple since scan-plane and display are always lined-up. The display is automatically adjusted in such a way that the typical characteristics of gestation are enhanced while imaging the pelvic region.

Hygiene
The extreme hygienic conditions that apply in swine breeding are taken into account. The unit with its compact ‘all-built-in’ and flush design will not easily attract or attain pollution. After use the unit can simply be cleaned under running tap-water or immersed in cleaning fluid. Pricing of the unit is not prohibitive for equipping every pig barn with its own Classic iNSight2, eliminating any chance of cross-contamination.
